The V series is the mid-line BRAVIA series, what sets it apart from the more expensive W series is that the W are 10bit, compared to the V's 8bit. The more "bit" the more image depth you can view.

However for that price you should get it asap in time for the free PS3 promotion - go to www.sony.com.au and there should be a counter for how many PS3s are still up for grabs.

Negotiate with the JB-HiFi salesman because you can probably get that TV for around $200 cheaper? Otherwise get them to give you extra warranty incase they cannot give you a cheaper price.
