Playstation 3 Hardware \ Tricks for external HDD?

Ok, I got myself a 1TB WD external hdd from Officeworks $199. Great buy. The real trick here is that the primary directories as mentioned earlier must be in caps, MUSIC, VIDEO and PICTURE and then within these primary directories you can have "a" sub directory for say a music album (eg. MUSIC/Metallica - LOAD/), or video etc. There is no other way to make it work, well on the 40gb ps3 I have, triangles or otherwise.

you can use a program called swiss knife for formatting NTFS to FAT32
just google for swissknife, i used this to convert my HDD to FAT32 so i can assure you it works

I did try to format another 320gb drive I had lying around but with no success, swissknife didn't work on Vista as well.
