i thik its great that the ps3 finally got a keyboard. especiallly since mmos are going to be released on the console. but i seriously don't like the design.
on the xbox you do not hafto reposition your hand to reach all the keys and by the looks on the ps3 you do. but whos to judge without actually having one in yoru hands already

I juts read this regarding peoples negativity towards this new contraption...
Aus/NZ Official PS Forums:
It's not like you have to have it attached to your controller to use it (it seems some people have skimmed over the part where it is a Bluetooth device which has its own in-built power supply).
So the argument of ergonomics is kind of moot, since
you can use it attached to, or free from, your SIXAXIS or DualShock3.
Note: The most important bits are in BOLD.

How to hold the PS3 controller if you want to switch between playing games and typing with the new keypad attachment...and if this doesn't work, detach it altogether.

You can get them relativity cheap now if you look in the right places.

Yeh you can. It's a terrible design. See? It's all subjective. Now stop talking about the 360.
Some of us should really get over which keypad is better.
If it pisses you off that much, sell your Playstation and get the Xbox 360.
It's not that important ... hell, you can get a Logitech bluetooth keyboard if the keypad pisses you off that much.

It looked interesting when I found out about it this morning, but just then I held my controller in my hands and tried imagining this thing on the top... Not exactly comfortable. Lucky it's just a prototype.
you dont even have to have it on your controler to work. Its just a blu tooth keyboard so you can have it unatached if you want.
