I'm using Nero MedaHome and basically the program acts as a media server (like WMP11), however the benefit of this program is that it will convert all your avi. files into video formats suitable for the PS3 on the fly. That means you can watch avi. files directly from your computer on your PS3.

Nero MediaHome is included in Nero 7 Premium/Ultra.

I strongly recommend this program to EVERYONE. I will post a guide on how to use the program later if anyone is interested.

i doubt it would be better even i carnt convert things in 720p in real time and i have a good processor so i think they would have to be less quality

Yeah, of course the quality would be decreased, due to the fact that it has to convert + send through network. But who cares really, sacrificing a little quality in exchange for straight up streaming instead of constantly converting files.

WMP11 only works with files that have already been converted for use on the ps3. but if you use tversity it will transcode the video in real time so you can wach any thing thats on your pc on your ps3
