So people spent :
$1,036,800 on the Wii Console..
and
$924,000 on the PS3..
Well looking at it that way there's only a very very small difference in final figures.
Oh and Mr Monkey said "There is solid proof for official numbers that the Wii is selling 2.5 times what the PS3 currently is in Australia." which is kinda funny because the PS3 costs exactly 2.5 times the cost of a Wii? Strange eh... The PS3 isnt selling in MASSIVE volumes because of its price tag... The Wii is selling more because its a low cost console which boasts great bang for buck. Hell i could buy a Wii a week without denting my income... a PS3 on the other hand would take a nice chunk.

So lets look at end of sales figures as after all thats all any company is interested in....
Wii: 2592 Units @ $400 = $1036800
PS3: 924 @ $1000 = $924000
360: 840 @ $550 = $462000
Now goin on the Wii outselling the PS3.. If the PS3 was the same price as the Wii, then we should multiply its sales by 2.5.. = 2310 units. I think we can see at the end of the day the PS3 & Wii are selling equilly well respectively.
