In Australia, the price is $1000, correct?

In AMERICA, the price WAS $600US, but has been cut to $500US. Anyway, it was still $200 Australian dollars less than what we have to pay, BEFORE they cut the price. Anyway, that's if any of us actually bother to buy a thing that's damn expensive!

Why put such a large price on something thats not even selling.

Sure they say "Oh Australia is so far away and there isnt many people so that gives us a reason to jack up the price", but a price rise of well over $200 is crazy.

- Shipping
- Handling
- Insurance
- Reshipping from Sony to Stores
- Reshipping Insurance

There's probably easly $100 there per unit... Then add the store markup anywhere from 10% to 35%... and we'll end up at $999. $799 would be a more acceptable price for the console, even $699 would make it much more acceptable.

If you consider 2% inflation each year, that would be AUS$861 today. But obviously computer parts are cheaper these days.
