Same as if you download NBA HD it will be black and white aswell.

My TV was getting fixed and i was just using my SD CRT TV and had the same prob - not with the bue ray disc tho cause i have none, but with the HD NBA game i did.

You nee a new TV.

Download NBA07HD from the american store - 10 bucks says it plays in black and white.

The games you have downloaded in colour wouldnt be full HD if they are brilliant.

i have hooked my ps3 up to friends crt and rear projections tv on the stock av cable (i use hdmi on my tv, but my friends didnt have any hdmi ports on their tvs) and i played the bond movie on those tvs fine.

Try changing the setting on the ps3.
read the manual and find out what everything in the setting do. i know, who reads a manual. lol
