By the way, if you're all questioning the yellow, well I guess they're trying to be more in line with Japan's "The Best" (Japan's equivalent to Platinum titles) PS3 titles.

At first it seemed to have only been some digital editing that someone decided to post up, but checking on play-asia.com it seems as though there's a bit more truth behind the pictures above. Hopefully AUS sticks to the design at play-asia instead of the ones posted above.
Even though the colour choice is odd play-asia doesn't use the horizontal yellow bar with the generic font for the word "platinum."
Either way at least we are starting to see a platinum range for our beloved PS3 games.

The PS2 platinum games looked great with the silver/black finishing. Why can't the PS3 platinum games be like that? =/

Hmm, fair point ... cheaper price for an ugly cover art (and potentially ugly game disc art too lol)

But still ... the PS3 games shouldn't have ugly covers, wouldn't you agree?

The PS3 shouldn't be associated with anything ugly ...
