I am thinking of finally making the purchase of a PS3 and figured it may be best to do so while I am overseas.
I will be travelling to France, England, Greece and finally Singapore and thought it would be a good idea to get a PS3 while I am in Singapore (preferrably a silver PS3, to go with all other items that are in my audio-visual setup).
My only concerns are in regards to region compatability (any locking or problems with blu-ray?) and also the power chord and voltage. I have read that Singapore operate on 230 volts at 50 hertz, where as here in Australia we are at 240 volts...
I know that I would need a power adaptor plug so that it would work in Australia - but would there be any major issues with electricity?
Is it also worth purchasing the PS3 overseas or wait for perhaps another price drop here in Australia? I am hanging out for the silver version but have heard no report that it is to be released in Australias as of yet - anybody know if it will be?
Thanks in advance to those that can reply and be of assistance...
