This hasn't been announced yet... but it's EA, so of course they'll ****in' go cross-platform... but considering it's DX10, don't expect it to play anything like it does on a Quad-core PC. You'll get the graphics, but the gameplay will be neutered.

The PS3 will never out perform a high end PC, especially with Crysis as their main focus was coding it for PC before porting to consoles":P

Not to say the PS3 isn't capable of out performing a pc on certain games, just not this one

I know a fair bit dude, working in IT for two years, now studying computer programming at Swinbourne and Game Developers course too. Yes it hasn't been announced, but there is a damn good chance it is coming out for consoles, and all in all a PC will always be better, just turns out most console games are better, hence why I have consoles and pc

Just because you have a cool reference to a doom cheat as your name and a cool pic doesn't give you the right to start crackin about knowin crap dude, just chillax we're all friends here

To add to the news: There were no announcements released regarding that claim, but a job vacancy announcement is hinting towards a port.

One of the responsibilities listed is "work on various aspects of porting to PS3 and creating solutions to get the utmost out of the PS3," and another responsibility says "cross platform code development." If we sum those two up, we might be looking at a port from PC to the PS3.

Crytek has recently talked about modding with its proprietary Crysis modding which may allow users to tinker with the game itself. Programming seems to have gotten more adventurous if a port is the next bold step in the agenda.

Of course this is all speculation and they may be porting some other secret title to the PS3, right? Nah, we really doubt it. To see the job ad for yourself, follow the read URL.

This game is published and funded by EA, am I right?? Of course it's coming to consoles... the thing is, where do you get the info for these games? It's like you just make best guesses? Maybe you should at least notify people that it hasn't been announced and there's a chance that it might not ever come out and that there's a chance that these screenshots don't represent the PS3 version at all... My guess is that this isn't going to be a straight port from PC, it'll be like the Far-Cry to Xbox conversion... they're gonna twist it up into a soft, console-like mush that can easily be digested...
So yeah, dudes... chillax!

Just looked at the trailer and still trying to pick up my jaw off the floor, that was simply jaw dropping stuff, trees break when you shoot them, that massive island to explore, the way you can customise your gun, resistnace fall of man and halo have a huge title to contend with here. cant wait for this one.

Has anyone seen the Msoft presentation where they talk about vista/live cross platform abilities? The send forza 2 cars to a mobile for customization the send them to a pc for a t.d and then back to the box for a race.
At the end of the speech the geezer mentions cross platform games and i'm 99 percent certain crysis was one of them.
And i'm going to buck the trend and say the game will look pretty but play like a steaming pile of sh!t.

Man, MGS4's graphics don't even compare to Gears of War, and have you seen games like Alan Wake, Bioshock and Mass Effect? Heavenly Sword doesn't have impressive physics, either... kotaku.com/ << those are impressive physics. Also, the PS3 isn't capable of DX10 graphics, the 360 is. Why can't anyone accept that?

Why cant anyone accept that? Noone needs to accept anything, PS3 will have better looking games than xbox 360 and xbox360 will have better looking games then PS3, why cant you except that? Gears of War is a fine looking game, but i think MGS4 will blow it away, Gears of War isnt as good as it gets, oh can you accept that? Again with the whole physics issue, its your opinion against mine and its thousands of opinions againts thousands, but to me Heavenly Sword has amazing physics, whats so great about Bioshock? nice water effects and great AI, nothing overly groundbreaking. Mass Effect looks good and Alan Wake, well thats my most wanted game for xbox 360 without doubt, im a gamer, i think all games are special in their own way, i dont have favourites and gyrate over games only on the xbox 360 like you do. Can you accept that? You have to learn to realize that xbox 360 isnt the only console with great games.

Anyway, You think MGS4 will blow it away? That's just funny, the screenshots and videos I've seen look pretty horrible... and like all of the other MGS games, the gameplay is ridiculous. Well fair enough, man, maybe I'm just not smart enough to understand Japanese games... but if you think Bioshock is just water effects and AI, you don't know what Bioshock is. It's innovation, something Sony wouldn't know if it came up and bit them on the ass. If you think button-mashers like Heavenly Sword are amazing, then I obviously gave you more respect that you deserved...

i sure do think mgs4 will blow it away, that's what i said isn't it? bioshock is innovation? because of the “big daddy, little sister and splicers” right? plenty of games offer innovation, heavenly sword isn't about button bashing, well that's how you would probably play it, alot of the game uses button timing in set pieces and its solely based on cinematic combat, don't just make a poor summary from trailer, do some research perhaps? alot of it depends how you play the game as well, maybe your just a button masher player? as for your respect? i prefer respect from real gamers, not a fanboy of one console like you, but cheers for the respect anyway mate

Your weird callan5 Crysis graphically looks so much better than MGS4 and im a big fan of MGS games and even i can see that! and as for Heavenly Sword graphically it dont look anything special and the gameplay looks fairly basic to me like Iddqd says "a button-masher" and those cinematic bits where it says press x then second later press triangle like God of war really annoy me. Your opinions really grate on me im with Iddqd all the way here i mean Bioshock looks awesome, true innovation...

Callan, that's just funny... it's innovative because it offers a new spin on the FPS genre. It's called non-linear gameplay... maybe you need to do some research? "Real gamers" can see passed funny names and gimmicks, where you can't. Bioshock has a level of artistic depth that those Japanese button-mashers couldn't come close to, and you obviously can't understand it. And I'm not a button-masher, lohl, you're the one who thinks Heavenly Sword is next-gen... I play FPS... And like, button combinations are next gen gameplay? "Attack his weak point for massive damage"? Gimme a break, man, button mashers have been around since the those arcade fighting games in the eighties...

first of all dumbnutz, i didn't say mgs4 looked better than crysis, i said it looks better than gears of war, read my post properly before storming in like your trying to prove something, im weird because i have an opinion? Well sorry for thinking we were on topic with Crysis but nah the Unreal3 engine running Gears of war looks far superior to MGS4. I think gameplay and plot will be better in MGS4 but thats it... and your not weird i take that back im usually quite open to peoples opinion so sorry for that...

Depends on whether you're building the PC yourself, or just buying it. If you're just going to buy it, for $1600, you might be able to max Unreal Tournament 2004... If you were buying the parts, and building it yourself, and you knew what you were doing, there'd be no problem... but it also depends on whether you need a monitor, case, etc... as well.

Longarms is right, although this game pretty much has it all, amazing visuals, settings, weapons and so on, at the end of the day if it plays s*** noone will care about it, but i highly doubt that will happen. Bring on Nov 15th!!!!!

I only have 6 gigs left on my dl limit for another 2 and a half weeks looks like I'll have to wait with the ps3 firmware update coming up and uncharted demo.

Woah didnt realise there would be so much Crysis discussion!!

I have mixed feelings about the game. As whilst i have a brand new computer, can only run the settings on low for decent fps.

Though running game on 30" monitor @ 2560x1600 with a 8800gts. Happy i can at least run it, but on low settings, it really does not do the game justice.

though strangely i can run the unreal tournament 3 demo at full reso with everything maxed just fine.

Really a good indication of just how graphically requiring crysis is.

Though despite my personally crummy graphics, the storyline seems sweet, and cant wait till the full game is released!

it ISN'T gonna be released, yet.

it's only gonna be ported to PS3/360 if sales for Crysis PC go well.

Im over Crysis now, just going to wait for the consoles release, one game isnt worth a $900 high end PC to play it on, its great but its not that great. So its the consoles version for me, if there is a visual downgrade, then so be it, i'll still play it anyway

I remember when i played crysis. I put a silencer on and one shot and tried to sniper them all to death, because my bullets kept running out. I ended up in the middle of everyone with one bullet that didn't do much damage and being ambushed on both sides. LOL
