June 15th, 2007, that day i first joined MyMedia. I was new, unaware of the rules, didn't know how the members are like but most of all, my spelling and grammar was that of an 11 yr old.
I first found about MyMedia and all it's awesomeness when i first made this Google homepage. Had an option where i can have news about the Wii because at that time i was really addicted to it. As i keep getting news articles from this website i never even heard about, the more i wanted to find out about it. So as i keep reading the comments made by the members, i realized "hey i should really join this site!" And so i did. The first site i ever joined was MyWii. Met a lot of people there and made some as well. As soon as as i joined MyWii, I've discovered that the site is a part of this other big site that has other console related sites like the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and even the portable consoles. I soon joined MyPS3 shortly after i joined MyWii but at the time i wasn't even interested in my PS3 (*GASP* yes i know..) because i knew nothing about it yet. But eventually i finally took interests in my PS3 and realized how fun and exciting it really is. In fact, thanks to the PS3 it got me a special "promotion" on MyPS3. As a few weeks went by, i started getting somewhat of a reputation at MyWii as the Boo lover. In fact i even started drawing a few Boos here and there. Even ones hat have Mario's hat after i found out that Mario will have the ability to become a Boo in Super Mario Galaxy. Lucky for members i had control over my obsession and not post lots of pics of Boo on the gallery section. Unlike some people i know....
As months have gone by, a lot of exciting events have happened especially on MyWii and MyPS3. Like on MyWii for example where we all panicked when a certain member was going to attack the site with some ping bomb or something. I myself was worried but was excited as well because it was hysterical how everybody panicked and what, LMAO. And on MyPS3, when a former member that was hated almost everywhere was finally banned but later returned to cause some havoc especially on MyPS3. He basically spammed the whole site in seconds! It was especially hard on the new admins (Cherrona and Entice) there because they had to delete so much. But things weren't so bad, there was some good times as well. The sites that i mostly visit finally got a new redesign and my was it sexy. Except though when MyWii had it's new design. Too colorful and baby colored for the much older members, lol. But it was good overall. We also got new MyMedia sites like MyBluRay and MyTelly. Unfortunately, MyBluRay is another MyDS but MyTelly really hit it off. Here's to another new and fun MyMedia site!
Anyway around January, the most important event in my past year was of course finally becoming an admin on one of my most loved sites. And no it isn't MyWii, it was MyPS3. Finally after all those months of contributing news articles and reviews and also posting so much in the forums, i finally achieved what every hard working members on MyMedia deserves. To be honest, at one point i wasn't even planning to stay at MyMedia after i first joined up because i found out it was all Aussie. But i deiced to ignore that fact because the community is pretty nice so what the hell i'll stay and i never regretted making that decision.
Well it's been one hell of a ride and can't wait what awaits me next in my next year at MyMedia. I don't plan to leave anytime soon (well until i finish High School so i'll probably be a bit busy). Here's to another year at MyMedia! Let's drink!!!
