News \ Devil May Cry 4 update
As some of you may have already noticed the Devil May Cry 4 pre-order signs popping up in videogame retailers, some lucky reviewers from overseas have already got their hands on a copy, so here’s a quick update on what to expect from the game, some of it’s good and some of it is bad, lets start with the bad. To counteract lengthy load times Devil May Cry 4 will dump 5GB of data onto the hard drive of your PS3, so allocate some space for this game and be prepared to watch a long loading screen the first time you fire this game up.
Now for the good news, similar to how the Xbox360 version uses Xbox Live, Devil May Cry 4 on the PS3 will use the PSN to display rankings and your achievements, compare your self to your mates for a bit of friendly competition.
Capcom have decided to incorporate some Sixaxis control into the game, by tilting the PS3 controller you can adjust your camera angles. Devil May Cry 4 on the PS3 will be available in Australia 8th of Feb 08, for release dates for other regions click Here.

Yay, now i have to keep the controller perfectly steady or the camera will go mental and mess up my gameplay. Shoulda left motion controls to the pros. I hope there is an option to turn off sixaxis camera controls since obviously the 360 version won't have it.

mEh! I'd rather an install + shorter load times than no install + horrible load times (ala Oblivion or Bladestorm).
Although they should've made it optional (ala Bladestorm and NOT Oblivion)

Its mostly an optional thing though. You can install it if you want faster laod times.

I think its kinda sh!te, I liked the idea that with consoles you just put the game in & play.
some you do.
but i think no loading times far out weighs the inital install. but maby im just used to doing it on PC.

I dont see how having the install portion is a bad thing.
from what i hear it take about 20 mins to install the game when you first turn it on. in that time it will give you the entire back story for DMC so that you will be filled in on whats hapning.
and then once you have instaled the game there is no loading ever again. so i think its great. I love playing through a game with has no loading (like uncharted).

I think it's just the once, 5gb of info is dumped onto your HD so that would take some time to load, the game does this so it reduced normal game load times.
