News \ MS: PS3 may have outsold 360 in Feb
Microsoft has told next-gen.biz that it expects the Playstation 3 to have outsold the 360 last month, but the company calls the win a “hollow victory”
Although analysts claim that 360’s are in ready supply and that MS’s damage problems are over, Microsoft insists it still had a supply problem throughout February.
"Our expectation is that because of our shortages at retail during February, we will sell less than PS3," Aaron Greenberg of Microsoft told Next-Gen. "That's not a surprise to us. I don't know what Sony's reaction will be to that, but it will definitely be a bit of a hollow victory. The competition sure didn't show up [in February]."
Greenberg said that, in every month that the 360 didn’t have supply issues, it outsold the PS3 “every single month”, two-to-one.

Spoken like a true fanboy, sorry k man but I disagree. I'm a Playstation owner, have been since the psx. However the Xbox has many exclusives that are worth mentioning. Does it affect the consumer which console outsells the other, no. Not really. But the fan war between the consoles continue. It's juvenile and pathitic imo.

The 40 gig ps3's are doing a nice "rrod" impression at the moment, but seriously everyone needs to chill with the whole "mines better than yours" crap.
We wont know how successful either console will be until the end of their life cycle. Personally i think the 360 will finish like the ps2 did last gen. A 360 price drop is just around the corner, hopefully we will see the platinum ps3 titles that have already been out in japan for a couple of months here some time soon.
