News \ Australian Gaming Sales for January 20
Mario & Sonic at the Olympics on Wii has remained in the top spot in this weeks (January 14-20) Top 10 All Formats Games. The Simpsons Game on Nintendo DS has moved up from 3rd to take out second place while Singstar RnB on the PS2 rounds out the top 3. Assassin's Creed was the only PS3 game to make it into the top ten coming in at 9th place along with 3 PS2 games.
Not much change on the PS3 side of things with the top 9 games all remaining in the same places as last week.
The PS2 continues to be a force in Australia taking out 3 places in the All formats top 10 and continues to be the main threat to the Wii's hold on the casual gamers market with 7 out of the 10 best selling PS2 games being in the family/casual genre.

I feel your pain buddy. If i'd missed out on such excellent A+ games such as Smash Bros Melee, Paper Mario and The Thousand Year Door, Mario Galaxy, Mario Strikers Charged Football, Super Paper Mario, Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64 i would be a headcase! I don't understand why people bag on Mario so much. Nintendo makes quality games, 95% of thier games score 90/100 or above. They are good games, so who care if the main character is a fat plumber, i dont understand the problem.
