News \ Metal Gear Online Date

Konami will soon be releasing a package version of Metal Gear Online. The product will go on sale in July 17 for Japanese users.

There will also be an upcoming worldwide tournament on its way to Metal Gear Online. This tournament is titled, "Metal Gear Online World Championship 2008". There have been do more details on this upcoming event to date.

For other countries Konami have yet to set any prices or dates for the in-store purchasable Metal Gear Online.

I'm curious, how does a "worldwide" tournament work when all the servers are region locked. No aussie has been able to play MGO with some one from the u.s, right?
