Man, that's a current-gen engine, just extremely poorly done... Killzone 1 didn't have lighting effects like that... I'm really hoping that it isn't the final game... F.E.A.R had better graphics in 2004.
And what do you make of Halo 3? looks like ps2 to me!
Atleast this game looks a hell lot better in game than Halo 3 Urgh..

ROTFL! That's confirmed not real, man... you can't see the sticky tape in the original pic, the gun is stretched out over the soldiers legs (Covering up the gun in the original), and look through the scope very, very closely... you don't see that in the original either...

The Halo 3 trailer looks good to me... Halo is about gameplay. And if you knew what you were talking about, you'd see that all the technology used in Killzone 2 is in Halo 3... but they are different engines designed for different environments and gameplay... Killzone was never a good game, actually it's a Halo knock off. And a pretty poor one at that. So quit flaming the game that ultimately spawned it... if it weren't for Halo, Playstation would have never needed a sci-fi FPS to compete, and Killzone wouldn't exist... so yeah, get over it. Wait til' id unveil the next Wolfenstein...

Well to be honest, i dont think there is much of a huge difference between Halo 2 and Halo 3 visually, i mean master chief looks awesomely detailed but the monster looks ugly *and i dont mean monster ugly* and look at them trees! O_O those shots were pretty below par when it comes to one of the 360's biggest beasts. But Halo 3 isnt about looks, its about gameplay, and it will no doubt deliver in that department to amazing extents.
Killzone 2 on the other hand, well we shouldnt dwell on the past people, the guys at guerilla no what mistakes they made with the original Killzone and will know doubt improve them.
Killzone 2 will be a huge hit, this is not the orignal any more, its the sequel.
Visually nothing compares to this game, why cant people see that?
But at the end of the day, we will see how it plays, i reckon it has masterpiece all over it though. and so do IGN and Gamespot.
Iddqd noone is contradicting themselves, its about time you realised sony isnt all about what you think it is *smokes and mirrors*
After seeing ingame trailers of Killzone 2 and MGS4, they look better then anything.
As a gamer and hardcore FPS fan that we all know you are, you should be impressed and very pleased with what Killzone 2 has displayed, i know i am.

it sucks when people start comparing games with others that really arnt the same. eg gears halo COD4 killzone are all different types so they'll all look different!

yeah well their sayn pre pre alpha (I guess that means early stages haha)
and dont think it comes out to feb next year so they have loads of time still ontop of the loads of time they've already had.
damn i would be happy if it was released looking like this anyway let alone better

According to VideoGamer.com, who've apparently gotten hold of a Sony UK release schedule, three big PS3 exclusives will be releasing this coming Fall in the British Isles. Killzone 2 and LittleBigPlanet should show up on our beloved console sometime in September, while Resistance 2 caps the trifecta for an expected November release. Sony confirmed that these dates are correct.
