No dodgey rumor is ever backed up by a screenshot... this goes above and beyond dodgey rumor...

Man, that's a current-gen engine, just extremely poorly done... Killzone 1 didn't have lighting effects like that... I'm really hoping that it isn't the final game... F.E.A.R had better graphics in 2004.

Trust me it wont be, in fact it looks very much like a shot from killzone, the amount of money they have spent on production for this game *$40 Million U.S* and the qoute from Phil Harrison whose seen the game in motion

"With Killzone, the expectation internally and externally is very high - and I won't show it until it's going to exceed people's expectations. It will be next year before we show it again, but it's coming along very well. The teams are working very hard, they know exactly what they have to do and there's no doubt they will achieve it, but there's nothing to be served by something that doesn't satisfy my goals for the project. Man even I'm disappointed... this was one of the games I wanted to get a PS3 for... never got round to playing the original. And it isn't looking good, I remember an article on that same website a while ago... kotaku.com/

FEAR was mentioned... and it does look strikingly similar

But lets just hope that's a ****ty build that wasn't supposed to be released... It will look better than this, but I'm 100% that that's the engine they're using, it will just be pumped up a little.

To be honest, it's just about the only PS3 game I'm the least bit interested in... I wouldn't say I was big on anything on PS3, it's just that if anything turned out to be good this year for the PS3, I want it to be this. Other than this, the PS3's looking pretty miserable to me. I think I'm going to put my money into a decent gaming PC... I can easily build one for about the same price as a PS3, with a better GPU and at least six times as much RAM, lojl... but we'll see.

Dude... for me it's about Fable 2, Unreal Tournament 3, The sequel to F.E.A.R, Alan Wake, Half-Life 2 Orange Box and Turok... I know we're not going to see anything other than the multiplayer aspect of Halo, and I already know all I want to know about all the other games coming out on 360 this year...

But there's a bunch of games I'm hoping to hear about, but haven't been confirmed to be at E3... Serious Sam 3, WOLFENSTEIN!!!!!!! (Sorry, I get excited about Wolfenstein) id's unannounced new project and *swallows* Duke Nukem Forever...

Yeah i know what you mean man, big surprises could be any of those games.

For me its about Heavenly Sword, Heavy Rain, MGS4, Uncharted, Alan Wake and Tekken 6 im hoping to hear about.

You never know man, Wolfenstein could be the next big announcement.

Here is the link from playstation.com regarding the KZ2 image, where the QA Manager of Gurilla Games states that the pic is "pre-pre-alpha"..why they would release an early build image like this at E3 is beyond me..but it seems they did.

I agree, alpha is the first stage of development, so i dont know what he means..but they wouldnt be lying this close to "official" screens being released. We'll just have to wait until tonight or tomorrow i guess.

No its not still in Alpha stonecold, its nearing release they would have been in alpha back in 2005.

They are just claiming that this is a alpha image..which would mean its an image from around 2005..

Why they would leak this kind of image, im not sure..who knows whats they are up to.
