Hey guys i hope that most of you members of myps3 enjoy and follow a team in the footy so i thought we could start a discussion about the footy and how you think players are going and teams in general.

I go for Kangaroos and we have been playing fantastic footy but last week against Brisbane we were shocking and got restricted to only 40 points for the whole entire game! Luckily we were a game ahead of third and we are still second on the ladder following geelong.

So, who do you guys go for and how do you think the teams will go?

Please feel free to talk about your AFL team and others aswell along with players. And also feel free to talk about your AFL DREAM TEAM.

Oh yer because you lived in Dubai and now you live in Brisbane where they follow the NRL. Well GO FOR THE KANGAROOS! Nah joking mate Sydney are looking good. They had a poor start to the season but they are playing great footy now!

Wiierdguy don't worry... Do you rekon Terry Wallace will be the coach next year?

08/06/2007 Melbourne, Victoria

mateo1 says:

exactly antman i never liked afl

08/06/2007 Brisbane, QLD {PSN = aimar120}

1wiierdguy says:

Yeah Terry will see out his contract. He took the job with a five year plan and I think Richmond will honour his contract. He's got two years left. Would have loved to have Sheeds tho.

08/06/2007 Brisbane Australia

antman1011 says:

That's your choice mateo. I hope you somehow find place in your heart to follow it

08/06/2007 Melbourne, Victoria

antman1011 says:

Yer i'm with you on that one. But a five year contract really was too long. I think Sheeds would have fitted in nicely, being back at his old club. Is he getting a bit old though?

Personally I think Kevin will go on the AFL BOARD next year and work with them!

Arhhhh sorry on the double post, havn't done that in ages!

08/06/2007 Melbourne, Victoria

1wiierdguy says:

I think Sheedy will coach again next year. I think Melbourne will take him on.As for Wallace, yeah 5 years is too long but Richmond has gone through so many coaches I think the club wanted some stability.

Go the HAWKS
At the end of the season, only the top 4 teams has a good chance winning the flag other teams will find it tough to travel or be eliminated in the finals. History shows the remaining 4 sides in the eight just make up the numbers.

Yeah I'm with Stonecold here. Go HAWKS!
Good win on the w/e against the *chuckles* "dons?" HAHAHA

Haha, it was good, but considering it was Carlton.. it kinda brings down the glory a bit.

HAWKS FTW

Seeing as i live in Sydney, your comment makes no sense..how hard is it to make the cut..heres a check list..
1 Able to where clothing 2 sizes to small
2 Able to fumble the ball around.
3 Have no ball handling or kicking skills.
4 Have a cry when hit hard.
5 Able to miss the goal frequently.
6 Worry about how you look on the field.

Lol, you are so critical.
The tighter clothes is so the other guys can't tackle you as easy.
As for 2 and 3, most of the players are quite talented with the ball and can handle it very well.
Alot of players get hit very hard and get straight back up.
As for missing goals, thats the forwards under pressure and not being able to do their job properly.
And finally the only player I know who cares about how he looks is Matthew Richardson who is a massive wank.

pirarefunk says:

We must be watching a different sport then..
1 i dont call what they do tackles more of a grab/hug
2 it seems like they have a great deal of trouble picking up a loose ball.
3 i havent seen anyone get hit HARD
4 how could you miss the goal is massive.

08/06/2007 Harrison

liam_w says:

I can understand where you are coming from. But being a player of the sport and the fact that I really enjoy it does tend to make me not focus on the negatives.
But again, they dont have much trouble picking up a loose ball and there are some very hard hits in alot of the games.

08/06/2007 Benalla, Victoria

pirarefunk says:

They hit no where near as hard as NRL or NFL..it ball is always on the ground and they all fumble it around..

08/06/2007 Harrison

liam_w says:

The majority of the game the ball is in someone's possesion. But yes I agree, they dont hit as hard as in the rugby but they are different sports and no one was comparing the two. You get hit hard in AFL but harder in Rugby, TA-DA! Problem solved.

I guess you have to be form Vic to appreciate it..
