You need a wireless internet set up for your house (get a wireless adsl modem or buy a wireless router for your current modem). I would assume you would need at the very least 256k connection to play online but I could be wrong. Playing with dial up wouldnt be fun.

Yeah the ps3 is set up for wireless connections, aslong as you have a wireless router you should be able to connect the ps3 in any room in the house.
