I dont know what this means to tell ya the truth i though ill try and connect my ps3 thougt the ethernet cable you get with the ps3 but it comes up with this error. It says : This is a DNS error (80710102) just like that can anyone tell me what this means so i can fix it.

the same problem happens to me and everytime it happens, the whole internet connection disappears, so my computer can't even access the internet meaning I have to reset my router and turn off my modem aswell and that fixes it.

if u hav a wireless router go into your router settings and if you have a internet security WEP code, make sure u use that, and then do all the rest of the connection 'EASY' and it should connect, otherwise i have no idea

If it was somthing to do with the WEP security, the connection test on the ps3 wouldnt go any further than the initial connection stage on the test, plus he's connecting to somthing via CAT5 cable.
