What are you PWNING about the 360? The 360 has more games, a much better online service, it's cheaper, it's more powerful: dpad.gotfrag.com/ and it's a lot more popular. The popular consoles get the most games. This leads me to another point. Can anyone here really predict the Ps3 will be the best selling console this gen? I know your all fanboys but lets be objective. Sony has gone on record saying they've been practically begging devs to stay on board with the Ps3 so that can't be good. It's also well known the best selling consoles get the most games cause the devs want the most money. This could lead to a dramatic catch-22 situation where the Ps3 gets less games cause it aint selling well, and it aint selling well cause of a lack of quality titles. Can anyone see a way out? I love the fact the Wii is the fastest selling console ever and currently winning the sales war www.joystiq.com/ but i don't want to see Sony totally die out, competition is healthy.

Did you even bother reading this entire article: dpad.gotfrag.com/ ??? It proves the 360 is more powerful. Also HD-DVD has recently secured more exclusive movie studios www.cnet.com.au/

IMO on this war, i think it's great competition really, i also think its way too early to be thinking a console has won and a console has lost this war, lets wait and see what happens once ALL consoles have more exclusive games to show off. Me personally im all for visuals and proven franchises, that is why my choice of console is PS3 and 360, Wii visually looks as pleasant as a cooked turd and the games dont appeal to me one bit, so i'll stay clear of that toy for those reasons. PS3 year to show off will be next year with exclusives such as MGS4, Tekken 6, GT5, Little Big Planet and Killzone 2.

Hardly.

It is interesting to note how many people are concerned about the PS3's sales now. I really couldn't care less because the PS3 was built as a system that would act as a sufficient hardware platform for a decade.

The gamecube was on shelves and off shelves again after a few years, the PS3's life-cycle will ensure that it out-lives any of the other current generation of consoles. And it does it by being technically superior in every way over those other consoles hence the larger asking price for the machine.

Speculation on sales is not worth a great deal until 5 or six years down the line we look back at the cumulative sales and project into the future. At least I know that if I buy a game for my PS3 that in another 7 years time I can still pick up hardware that will play it.

but with the 360 having Bioshock and Halo 3 makes it still fun to play.

I own all three next gen consoles and am happy with all of them, although the ps3 is my favorite system, mostly due to the quality of titles it's predecessor made available, which should no doubt carry onto the ps3's library in the future... games like Ratchet and Drakes Fortune to name a couple.

ps. to gdmatt, the gamecube was a lot more powerful than the N64, in fact it is more powerful than the ps2. Though yes the Wii is not much of a technical upgrade for nintendo, apart from the motion controls. But with great looking titles like Metroid & Galaxy around the corner, I am not too worried about it's processing capacity.
