I was watching some videos on this and it looks HARD to hit all those notes!!!! is it that hard to play???

Yeah Xzadur if you're into the kind of music featured in the game you'll enjoy yourself.
It's pretty fun even on the easiest settings to mimic some of the best songs/solo's and vs'n people online is great fun as well.
The only people I know that don't like it (of my mates) are the couple that have poor hand eye co-ordination and struggle on easy.

As Crazynites said the clips are of people on expert...There's only a few of us here that can do that!
Main thing that changes as you get harder is how realistic it is. The notes emulate moving around the fretboard more and what chords you would be playing if it was real (or as close as possible).
I play on medium cause it's heaps fun and I can pwn

Sweet. I think this will be the next game i buy for ps3.
I own an electric and acoustic guitar, but im not heaps good at it. but i love guitar and music in general so YEP i think i will buy this, it looks ADDICTIVE like those japanese games along similiar lines as GH3, not sure what its called (those little hand held console)

I think online makes it more addictive, always wanting to gain rank.

i was reading at the start of the thread, and it said somewhere that online doesn't work properly??? has this been fixed or is it one of those NAT problems which only certain people get stuck with? coz i have NAT3

SOUNDS HEAPS COOL though.
***PLUS i see theres downloads for GH3 in PS store ( u.s i think) which would be good...
** and a Question, do you just keep buying more guitar hero disks for more songs ( ie like Singstar ) each disk has more music?

Yeah its fixed, I can't comment on the NAT3 issue mine's always been 2, but yeah after firmware 2 (or was that 2.0.1) in either case it works!

Yep US store only, we will get them later on.

Not really, see Singstar like you said just expands. Guitar Hero brings out the next version instead. So the concept is always the same but characters, animations, venue's, features and songs change (plus some stuff I'm sure I've forgotten).

nat types aren't an issue - at least i dont think it is

mine is nat3 and i've been playing online pretty well compared to when there was no patch

I SOOOO should have bought this when it came out but i was saving for SKATE and COD4 (whilst paying bills!) yeh NAT is SHI* lol

the only game i cant play online i have is "the Darkness" says i need NAT2 or 1. everyother game i bought i never had any troubles ie, COD4 , RFOM, GRAW, Skate, and fight night 3 they all work fine.. either way i'll be BUYING it, even if online doesn't work. i dunno where the "sudden impulse" has come from but I WANT IT NOW LOL

If you have problems a few pages back there was a link that explained how to change the NAT type.
If routers and port forwarding etc confuse you I can help you there.

It's such an awesome game, I've bought every version since number 1 on day 1. I can never get enough of this game, it's just that awesome!
