I Never said it was...
I said that it's a waste to get a pimpin board and leave out pimpin RAM, that's what Iddqd was talking about as well.
Anyways yeah the new list looks good should serve you well

I would get a pioneer dvd burner vinn, but thats just me.
Your PSU will do fine for now but if you choose to add another graphics card in SLI you'll need a more powerful PSU

Yeah I'd go a Pioneer burner, they've been the most reliable of the burners I've used over the years.
Also I forgot to mention your case, the 8800GTX is a pretty long card, so I'm not sure if your's will be as long. Check (or have the PC shop) check it will fit correctly.
My mate bought a $250 case for it and the card hit the drive bay...we had to return the case.
So head's up on that one

If you pay anything over $400 for a 8800GT your being ripped off. MSY is cheap but not for all their hardware.
You should easily be able to pick up a 8800GT elsewhere for $350-$370, the first shop i asked that had them in Sydney was selling for $375. $450 is way over priced.

GFX - GeForce 8800GT 512mb $448 RRP
that's RRP. MSY would sell cheaper, around the 350's area

Well if you can get it for $350 or so, do that. No point paying an extra $100 for the vid card when it can be put into other hardware if you wish.

the GeForce 8800GT 512mb is cheap considering it plays almost as well as the GeForce 8800GTS 640mb

Man, my computer is outdated...
All I know about it is that it has an Asus motherboard, 256mb of memory for the video card, it's a 3ghz Pentium 4, 1.5gb of RAM... and Bioshock doesn't work on it. :C

All benchmark's i've seen had had the GT out perform the GTS in all categories. Its only just slightly less powerful than the GTX.
The GTS is obsolete.

Also up your PSU to atleast 600W, the 8800GT eats alot of power.
I just built my new PC yesterday, having the fun job today of installing all the drivers/application software now.
I also just ran the Crysis demo to test out the hardware, runs perfectly on high detail so long as the anti-aliasing is toned down a little.
Anyone know the console command in Crysis to bring up the FPS rate on screen?
EDIT: Never mind, i found it
