Tell you the truth I think I just fluked it, what I mentioned in my previous post is simply what I did and it worked, if it helps any my laptop and PS3 are all connected using WiFi.

If I can get this up and running I can leave all my trailers I've downloaded off PSN on my PC, and leave the PS3 hardrive solely for games and demos!

Ok well Ive managed to get the PS3 to find my media server using Nero 7 but when I go to play any of the videos it says there are no files, Ive only added 1 file with 4 videos in it to the server. Does it take awhile for the videos to come up on the PS3 or should it all appear str8 away ?

If your using Windows Media Player 11:

1. Open Windows Media Player.

2. Click the arrow under Library.

3. Select 'Media Sharing'

4. Make sure the box with 'Share My Media To:' is ticked.

5. The PC should search for the PS3 automatically.

6. When the PS3 comes up in the big white box, click it, and click 'Allow'.

7. Click 'Settings' if you wish to select the types of files to share.

8. With your PS3 go to either Music, Photo, or Video.

9. There should be a new icon labelled with your Computer name and the name you choose in settings.

10. Open it and all your files on Windows Media Player should be there.

11. If they aren't, then make a Playlist (With WMP11 on your PC) and drag and drop all your downloaded content into it and save it. Then check your PS3 to see whether it has found them or not.

As above, why not give MediaLink a try? I've tried the demo and it happily streams to the Mac. I just refuse to ever give these guys anymore of my money, so I'm waiting for Rivet to include the PS3. Check out MacUpdate for MediaLink
