Hotting up at the moment as finals approach. Unfortunately my team, Victory aren't doing to well, but a 2-1 win over Queensland helped ease the pain

Victory won again hey ? , Thats cool seeing they had a terrible start to the year. So thats two weeks in a row the Victory have beaten the team at the top of the A-League ladder. If theres a few upsets in other games in the next couple weeks Victory can still sneak into the finals but its unlikely. At least it will give them some momentum going into the Asian club championships.

The salary cap is exactly what will make the A-League survive, Australia does not have the market to pay players the crazy amounts they think they are worth, if they want more money they can play overseas. Paying players more than what the clubs can afford are why National League teams were all in debt & the competition folded.

getting rid of the salary cap would destroy the league, teams like Melbourne and Sydney would remain dominant, while teams such as Perth and Central Coast would struggle to keep up.

The Salary cap is what keeps the league so even and interesting. It takes alot of effort to sustain a team from one season to the next. No one team has remained on top, unlike the EPL where it is the same 4 teams contesting the comp each year.

It may restrict the talent that could play here as each team only has one player that can be paid outside the cap but the fact is the clubs would go broke within a couple years without a cap including Sydney & Melbourne. A-league is here to groom the younger players so they are ready for the bigger european leagues & to provide a league for the older players to return to & still earn a better than average wage.

Queensland looked good, and I wouldn't say they are at all the darkhorse of the competition when they are at the top of the table and have been playing good football for most of the year. The way they have performed with such a young side is great, maybe the Arsenal of the A-League the way Farina is setting them up with all this youth. Sydney should give them a shake this weekend though.

I just think the way Sydney and Melbourne have bounced back from their slumps is amazing and the way both sides have scored goals, wow.

Maybe it's just because i've grown into more of a watcher, not so much a supporter, but seriously.. the performances some teams put out are terrible. Actually, not just some teams, all teams. You have CCM who dominate all year and they get trifled by Victory who have just been absolutely pathetic.

I remember reading a couple of months ago about how Ernie Merrick could be described as Dracula, because his team seems to have a fear of 'crosses'. Well i reckon we could say that about most teams, the crossing is of Division 3 standard, plus there's only one player that can actually take a free kick in the whole league.

Ps. You just totally contradicted yourself. If they remove the salary cap then they will import more players from overseas, thus Aussie Talent will have no chance of getting a go. Plus, Sydney will go broke, as they'll bring in another couple of superstars in hope that more than 10,000 turn out to watch them

Well if you start a threat about the Premier League I'll be more than happy to post in it.

Anelka has already rejected Chelsea's offer and I bet Berbatov doesn't leave this transfer window.
