Hey guys i have a 80GB PS3 and spare laser assembly kit. I got this when i was overseas and played it for a week and it stopped working. Was told it was the laser so brought a new one and swapped it out. Didn't work, so now i have a spare PS3 in my house doing nothing.
Was wondering if there are any techno junkies out there who may want to take it off my hands????

eBay it. You'll probably get 300-400 for it from someone who knows how to fix it, but really, if its just the laser, take it somewhere to get fixed. It's an easy fix.

No i have replaced the laser, the laser is not the problem. i don't know what the problem is it just wont read the disc.

Take it somewhere to get fixed. Or atleast get someone to check it out before you sell it.

You should be able to get a free quote to get it fixed.
I'm sure the repair cost wouldn't be too much. It would at least increase the resale value.

No such thing as int warranty with the PS3, i have rang them and wrote to them. They won't touch it.
Yeah i am willing to sell it for $250. It is not doing anything in my lounge at the moment. Plus my insurance covered it and i got a new one anyway.
