hmm, thats coz theres still that 10gb partitioned out, is there anyway to go into setting and restore back to 60gb?

you can do the ps3 restore default and i'm sure it wiped all the partitions. Also note that if you have 40gb and you should notice that only 30-31gb/37gb left. That is because the other 6-7gb are used for the PS3 OS.

nope and it says 30gb out of 37gb

if the ps3 says 30gb out of 37gb then it means you have removed your linux partition. Note that the 7gb is used for ps3 operating system.

Hey guys, well i'm ready to go to install Linux on the PS3. I just have some questions; I'm deciding between Ubuntu and Fedora..and this Yellow Dog Linux which i visited the site and it seems to make a point that it's heavy supporting the PS3? Is there any reason why? Is there anything special that it does over Ubuntu or Fedora on the PS3?
Basically, i'd like to surf the net, check emails, chat using MSN, and use the program that streams games over your network.
And also, wireless connectivity compatibility is a must. I think thats it really. Can anyone share some advice to make my decision easier? I'm a noob to Linux (always wanted to get into it) but i have above average PC knowledge. I'm also looking to do all this on the weekend, probably Sunday. cheers guys
