they need to be the same as the details you used to set up your US PSN account.

ok i did this today to buy the nfs bundle packs, and yes they do work, but you can't drive the cars straight away you still gotta earn them.
entropay.com, enter in all your correct details. and you want have any problems.
when you add funds to wallet in the psn network it won't verify your address so you'll be sweet. an entropay card gives you a credit card number, an expiry date, a ccv and the card holder name is entropay user.
worked like a charm. If you need anymore guidance through it just hit me back on this I'll be happy to guide you through, and add us funds now while the aus dollar is high. I added $20.00 us dollars for $23.40AUD

Nope, it MUST be from a credit card.

Most likely because your prepaid VISA card has an Australian billing address. You will need to setup an Entropay account to get around this.
(Am I even answering your question? Sorry if I'm not =/)

do these details need to be your real ones (for the CC) or your fake ones from US_PSN?
i think i've figured it out... you use your real ones.
the PSN does NOT confirm the address on the CC when buying? correct?

1. Set up a new user on your PS3 under USERS
2. Go to PLAYSTATION NETWORK and sign up a new account
3. Use this address: 360 Egan Drive, Juneau, 99801, Alaska, United States
4. Follow the on-screen prompts and complete registration
5. In Entropay, use your real residential address and real credit card details
6. Follow the on-screen prompts and complete registration
7. At Entropay.com, click on the Home tab. Your virtual Entropay card will be listed under "Your EntroPay Cards". Click on the name e.g. "EntroPay Virtual Card".
You will see a picture of your card:
8. Now go back to your PS3 and access the American PSN (through your new user account)
9. Go to the Store or Account Management (can't remember this part from the top of my head)
10. When asked for credit card details, you will use the Credit Card Number, CVV, Expiry Date and your Name will be "ENTROPAY USER".
That's pretty much it. It's fairly simple.
Be aware that you MUST own a credit card of some sort here in Aus. You will need to load money FIRST to your Entropay virtual card at entropay.com. Click on the "EntroPay Cards" tab, then click on the "Load Tab" button.
If you have any suggestions on how to make this mini-guide more user friendly, please PM me.
Cheers.

has anyone else had trouble funding their account a second time? mine is saying there is a problem with something, and its not a lack of funds.......
im thinking i probably shouldnt have just guessed my American address out of thin air cos ive probably picked out an actual house and now entropay sent them a "welcome" letter and they've called them up to say its not them......damn i definitely shouldnt have picked Beverley Hills
the FBI are probably on their way to charge me with stealing someones identity
you cant sign up for another one can you? maybe i'll try to change the address in my US psn account to a hotel address n see if that works...

Firstly, what was the exact error message?
And secondly, why did you use a fake address in Entropay? You were supposed to use your real Australian address in Entropay ...
The fake American address goes in your American account on the Playstation Network.

ok, the error message was real generic.....and its working again now so it must have just been the site was having problems or something
also, just as longarms thought, i thought you had to enter your fake US address as your address on file with entropay. because when i first tried it, i tried it your way, and it came up with "the address given does not match the adress, your credit card must...blah blah" or something, it didnt work anyway.
so then i changed my home address in entropay's site to match my fake US address (but left my real address in my "funding source" details obviously), and then it worked! and now its just worked again so nevermind

Glad it's working again.
And again, guys ... a few posts above, I posted a mini-guide. If anyone asks me an Entropay question, I'll be forwarded them to that post anyway.
It's basically what I've done, and I'm using Entropay fine

thanks "wutang01" i followed your very helpful guide and i set everything up exactly how you stated only thing was after it was all done i got an email from entropay saying that they needed to verify my identity for security reasons or something so they requested me to scan and email or fax them my drivers licence or passport and my credit card and my latest bank statement so i did all that with my crappy all in one printer and im waiting on them to get back to me within 24 hours they say... cause they said they will unfreeze my account when they receive these things...
hopefully it doesnt take too long and everything goes smoothly...

They required confirmation of your identity? That's odd ... they didn't ask me. We'll see if someone else has to do the same thing ... maybe it's a new security thing Entropay is doing?

edit - i really think logically you need to give them (Entropay) a US address.... since the original basic problem with purchasing from overseas ps stores is that the billing adddress on the card HAS TO MATCH the address you put into the ps3 in order to set up whatever region's account (USA, JAP, EURO, AUS), and the address you give to entropay.com IS YOUR BILLING ADDRESS for your entropay card, is it not?
anyone whose gotten away with using their real address must not have even had the address checked (like you said in your guide wutang), against the card details, which was either a glitch or.......i dont know.....it just doesnt make sense, you may aswell just use your real card if they dont check!!

The idea of Entropay is so that merchants cannot see your personal credit or debit card details. They can only debit what you have loaded onto the card, and that's it. It's one of Entropay's features ... for security and privacy reasons.

Think about it ... if all Entropay did was "replicate" your real credit card, then what's the point of such a service?

no, i mean from the ps3's point of view dude. think back to the first time u tried your cc in your US account
i realise entropay is exactly like paypal......
edit - all im saying is that SOMEWHERE, you need to put in an address that matches your fake US addy.....cos thats the original problem. well, thats how i thought around it anyway. if something else makes sense to you, cool...

I never tried my own credit card in my US account. I immediately used an Entropay account.

Well, I just think it all makes sense since Entropay is protecting the individual's details like Paypal. I'm assuming that if we used our credit card, Sony can check our billing address in the VISA database or something ... whereas Entropay doesn't ... since it's not a real credit card, but just a virtual one.
But anyway ... it doesn't matter what I say beause [1] I'm no expert and [2] people probably believe something different. All I'm doing is telling you guys what I did, to get it working.
If it doesn't work, then you'll most likely have to find out a different way (in which case I'll update the guide to reflect the new method).

i still dont understand why you think they dont check, it literally would not let me get past this step until i changed it to the fake US address, how the heck did you get through without doing that?!?!
also whether or not its "virtual", its still a VISA card with its own unique number. it becomes part of the VISA worldwide database instantly.

exactly, and i realise this, thats a major reason why i'm so interested in this thread. cos like i said.....it wouldnt LET me do it that way, and i know a couple of other people who had to do the same thing as me too so im waiting to see who has success following your method and who has success following my method.
maybe its something that changed at some point, when did you create your account?
