There is a possibility there is a bad press where the discs are out of wack. You know why blu rays have a hard coating? It isn't to protect it from fingerprints. It is to protect it from collisions with the laser head. The heads are a lot closer than DVD and HDDVD.
Has anyone this has happened to checked the disc for damage?

Meh, its your choice to deprive yourself of a great game. Many of us here and on HEAPS of other forums haven't had a single issue after spending many hours (if not days) in the game. In fact, if CoD4 was bricking that many consoles, then why don't I see similar threads on other CoD4 forums with more users (GameFAQs as an example???). So please, stop this nonsense, go read up some more on other games that had caused similar issues...

I wonder how many 360 copies of CoD4 caused a RRoD... and if they had similar posts about them too

I have had COD4 since November I play it most days the only probs I have had with it is it has frozen 2 times thats it.
