Hey guys, just wanted to know whether if i imported a game, would it then connect to online servers for multiplayer from the country it was imported from?
Any downside to importing at all? Im just a little skeptical

From my experience, it connects to Australia. I got a US copy of Burnout Paradise and when i play online i can hear Aussie voices. I think it connects to the country that you have in your profile (PSN account).

And there's a patch coming from UT3 to go online with pal and ntsc games together.

umm i've got a pal version and get on us and aus players easily,
region locked would be you can't play against U.S players on NTSC consoles.

No it's not dude. I have the US version and play my aussie mates (with the pal version) all the time. It was only when the 2 copies have different updates that it doesnt work

the only 'region locking' with cod4 is the fact that updates become available for certain regions at a time... not technically region 'locked'
