Well, for the well known brands, the biggest you could go is a 42 inch plasma, but the picture quality won't be that great compared to a $2000+ plasma, and plasmas aren't good for games anyway.

In terms of LCDs, the biggest would be 32 inch. Just let me have a look at my JB HiFi catalogue and I'll find a right one for ya.

26' Samsung LCD: $1400

32' Hitachi LCD: $1600 - however the image quality of this TV is terrible...

32' Sony BRAVIA LCD: $1400

Personally I would go for the 32' Sony BRAVIA LCD S-series for $1400. My friend's got one and the picture quality is pretty amazing.

It was shown on tv ads and there was a discussion on the forum about the competition too. Basically you just drink as much Pepsi as you can, then you SMS the number on the label to Pepsi.
