Well, well. This is my first post here. I am a Wii owner and must say that it brings something new to the table other than 'novelty' or '3rd party crap'... it brings a level of interactivity to games like no other system before it.
Sure you can all laugh about Wii Sports and Wii fit... but the first title alone made me shed 10 kilos and now Wii Fit is torturing my core muscles and is so interactive and fun. Man that board is actually one very very accurate controller. And also Mario Kart just feels so 'right' to play with the wheel (once you learn how to master it) and once again offers some tactile interactivity to an old classic.
Also, the pointer just makes games, when done right, feel so unique! Steven Spielbergs Boom Blox is so addictively interactive it's amazing.
So, go on all you want about the Wii being ****, but it offers something unique that actually expands upon games. Although Medal of Honor 2:Heroes looks last gen, the absolute control and instant pin-point accuracy of how it plays with the wii pointer is unparallelled.
But now i need to compliment that experience with a PS3 for GTA4 and MGS4, so I'm getting one this week. But i must say that i'm more than a little sad sony hasn't brought out a pointer. I/m sad that to experience epic games of depth and graphical wow, I have to go back to the oldschool, limited, function of aiming to shoot with a joystick again. I just wish sony would bring out a pointer for shooters.. it would
