Metal Gear Solid 4 \ Gametrailer's Metal Gear Retrospective

there is no metal gear anime, the first scene from the second episode are from the game Policenauts en.wikipedia.org/ it was written and directed by kojima before he started working on metal gear solid 1.

I knew some of the history of Snake but this is really indepths as far as the story is concerned.
I've always wanted to play as solid snake and battle big boss hand to hand combat in Zanzibar since MGS2 but after watching the first 2 episodes i see why hideo has chosen not to remake them.

part 2 and 3 seem to be down, but it is a great chronicle of mgs. I never played it on the NES or SNES. Infact, my first contact with mgs was with the ps1 iirc. Great series, cant wait for mgs4!

Anybody here read the book Neuromancer? I'm studying it for school and it has some parallels with MGS. Probably coincidental, but I thought I'd point them out.
1. Humans being controlled by AIs like with Raiden and GW.
2. There's a guy with a suit which has changeable textures like Octocamo.
3. Everybody has body enhancements like the nanomachines in MGS4.
4. There's a cyborg ninja... and his name is Hideo!
And wait for it... the book was made in 1984.

I sure hope they release MGS1 on the PSN before MGS4 comes out... I don't have a copy on PS1! I'm an idiot. I remember /loving/ the MGS demo I got with my PS1 but for some reason I never bought the game. DDDD:
