PS3 News \ Little Big Planet Coming Only To BluRay
With the confirmation of Burnout Paradises PSN Store release, PS3 Users have been wondering whether or not Little Big Planet will follow in its footsteps. This PS3 Exclusive has so many multiplayer-online features that everyone is thinking it will make its way to the PSN. But Media Molecule has told a different story.
Media Molecule confirmed that Little Big Planet is to come on a Blu-Ray Disc and on a Blu-Ray Disc only.
"LittleBigPlanet is a Blu-ray Disc product exclusively for PS3. LBP will utilize much of PlayStation Network's vast functionality for online and community features, but the game will indeed be distributed as a Blu-ray Disc."
User Content
will still be available from the Store but not just the full game. Media Molecule may lose quite a few customers since its not making an appearance on the Store. No price has been confirmed for this game but it is set to come out on October 21st. For information on Little Big Planet,

Well most of the games show at LGC will be the same demos that where at E3. Sony looks to be the only one with some major announcements for it. As they are the only console manufacture going to be having a press conference at LGC, Nintendo aren’t even going to LGC at all.

Well, you can safely pre-order at GameStop anyway to confirm that you'll get the Kratos costume (I'm assuming you want it as well). For online pre-orders, they will send the download code via e-mail one week before the game's release.
I'm very confident, that MM or someone will confirm what pre-order incentives PAL areas (including Australia) are getting ... way before the game's release date. Then you can cancel your pre-order with GameStop from their website. They don't charge your credit card until shipment anyway
If you wait until an announcement about European LBP pre-order incentives ... who knows, maybe the Kratos costume will be gone

*sigh*. that's a relief. i was wondering why people needed to buy it off of the PSN Store. unless they live in the mounties like Bob Lee Swager (can anyone catch the reference to the movie? NAME IT!) i dont see the reason. and it might be a little too big for the PS3 if owners have alot of other full games on it already. if it said PSN exclusive i would be mad. i cant put money in my PSN account because i cant find the PSN gift cards and my parents wont put any money into it.

Personally i think sony is blowing smoke up every ones ass, I tried for weeks to figure this game out and "hacky sack emulator" is still the best description i can come up with.
Hope its an amazing exclusive the ps3 isn't exactly pulling its weight in that department.

omg, i just had the best idea for LBP!!

while reading the “Exclusive interview with LittleBigPlanet Co-Creator Mark Healey” particularly the q "-How does local play work when migrating to a friend’s PS3? Can we bring our sackboy along, and if so, how?" which wasn't answered..
What if they made like an offline (or even home integrated) virtual sackboy 'pet' thing, like sim-aquarium or tamagotchi etc.. just a sackboy you can interact with and take to your freinds place and muck around on their ps3 with your already customised sackboy (even d/ling the data to a psp program which can run your sack boy data etc)

I dont know why every one assumed that it was going to be on the PS store, they never said it would be. Infact they have been saying that it was blu ray only for ages. 
As for price, this is a full PS3 game it will be the same price as all the other disc ps3 games(Ie around $100AUD or $89 if you go to JB), it is not a small downlaodable title and it is not a multiplayer only game like warhawk.

I was originally considering a PSN purchase. But pre-ordered the game from GameStop, so I can get the Kratos costume
But yea ... maybe it's not available for purchase off the PSN, because it's a MASSIVE game? =/
