Refering to the article published from Kotaku (a few days ago) about a forum poster (PSN ID: Paul-H-UK) claiming that he already received his copy of MGS4 from 'ebay'.
I truly, utterly and convincingly believe that the 'claim' and his so-called 'pics' he posted are complete HOAX!
After carefully analysing the pics he posted, I came to a conclusion that the pics were real...though his claim to owning it is a 'hoax'.
And it is for one main reason: INCONSISTENCY.
Kotaku only published a few pictures, I first read about it in N4G linked to the original forum (it was 2 nights ago & I can't be bothered looking for it!) which showed multiple pics from the forum poster ('claimer').
The obvious inconsistencies were;
1. The Oz rating label on the game box cover
2. It's from 'ebay' (I'm sure the 'bid' would've reached the stratosphere for an early pick-up of the game!)
3. He had a pic showing an open cover that shows the manual booklet and the BD disc placed inside...sounds ok, but the pics was so FUZZY compared to the other crystal clear pics!
4. But that's not all! After meticulouly analysing FUZZY PIC I noticed that the disc had the same rating logo as a EU rating. (ie. it was a 15 with a red circle around it)
5. He also showed a supposedly 'in-game' pics off his Bravia D-series LCD TV (32" or 40"?). Though it was an extremely clear picture, the only fatal mistake he made was...To Be Continued... <
