Square Enix have confirmed this, but they say they havent completely ruled out a ps3 release..

I think it was a little of both, battles would start like old Final Fantasy games but you could move around in the battle while doing your attacks. Like a primitive FFXII. Had an awesome story!

I highly doubt it will be a 360 exlusive. I mean if Square like money they will release it on both platfroms so they can actauly sell some in japan.

It's not economical to maintain exclusives. I think we'll see more 'exclusives' appear on other console. A game made for PS3 - requiring a HDD instal is problematic on the 'other console' but will happen.

Well, if it is released as a 360 exclusive it wouldn't bother me (planning on buying a 360 anyway 
).
But it wouldn't make much sense for Square Enix to restrict to the the 360.
Either way I'll be checking out the game when it's out (I loved Star Ocean 3 
).
