Well after a week of pretty much only playing this, I personally have not experienced in bugs, crashes or freezes.
Some more gameplay observations. Each Civ has way different attributes, that affect your strategy, and your end goals. For example if you play as the Greeks you start the game with democracy and a temple. Other civs have things like units, that fully auto heal at the end of each combat move, handy if world domination is your thing. Some other new things, put in in my opinion, to speed up game play, is when you are the first to discover a new technology, you are granted a unit. So if your the first to dicover navigation, you granted a frigate.
