use free battle (instead of automatch) and filter the servers based on network quality.

I'd say 1/5 of games perform worse then I'd like, region locking the servers was a bad idea. Our pings to the states are much better then our pings to Europe.

Online region coding = cheap and nasty

When you're looking for a game to join, you'll see a little white bar in the room details. The brighter the bar is, generally the less laggy a game in that room will be.

So, grey = laggy, white = no problems.
