As you will all see from my details, ABSOLUTE newbie when it comes to the PS3. Only pulled it out of the box yesterday!

And by the way, as far as I am concerned the Free PS3 deal with the Sony TV's is a cracker deal...I've been trying to convince my wife for years to buy a LCD TV and a PS3, and she's always said no. Bundle them together, and she has no problems!!

So, my quesion is this - Is there a particular method to get online with the PS3 whilst using iPrimus broadband that is better than any other?

In terms of my setup, I currently have the PS3 connected to my TV via HDMI and to my home theatre via optical output. My study (and Internet Point) is 15M away from the PS3, up a hallway so no major walls in the way. I was going to go out now and buy the ASUS WL520GC wireless router today for the princely sum of $42.00, and at the same time pick up a cheap wireless KB & mouse.

This all sound good to you guys & gals?

Yeh Wifi is usually the easiest way to connect your PS3 to the net. Having a wired Ethernet cable has the benefits of not having to worry about signal strength and being more stable. But 99% of the time Wifi will do you just fine.

Hi guys, thanks for the advice. Tell me though about 'compatible sets' - I read on another post that you can use anything USB (I think one poster even used an apple mac USB KB!). Is there something I should be looking for??

I use iprimus and my PS3 is connect via Ethernet as my house is cable networked I use the Iconnect wireless modem as well that Iprimus supplied. When I was using wifi at my other home with ps3 and iprimus I could never get nat 1 or 2 but then, I was also using a Belkin wireless router.

Now I am getting Nat 2
