Hi guys and girls, today i recieved my console back from Sony's repair centre... I plugged it in, ready to rock, push the power button to turn it on and.... and... and nothing.. Then i noticed the front casing of the console has a seperation of about 5mm near the power and eject buttons..WTF!?!? Now i dont know whether this was a transporting issue, or whether it was Sony's repair team being a bunch of tossers. The only help i got from Customer Support when i rang them not long ago was... "Uuuummm, send it back in.. it will be ANOTHER 3-4 weeks till u get it back" My backside hurts something fierce due to this shafting!!! Anybody else struggling to sit down??

Crap is just about it! I also had a MGS4 in the console at the time it gave up on me.. I enquired about that too. I got told that the game was sent to another department for decoding or something, and that it will take an extra two weeks for the game to arrive after the console. lol! I asked why... he said to test the game... i asked if they could've tested it in a working console... he said nothing... i almost blew up

Oh bloody hell. If that happened to me, I'd buy a 2nd PS3. Handling nearly a month without a PS3 is devastating. Now 2 months? *faints*
At the moment, I'm able to control myself and not doing so.
Hope that doesn't happen to me. I think my PS3 is coming back next week.

Dude I feel your pain. I remeber when I bought my PS3 sony sent me a faulty one and then my delivery was 2 weeks late and had the nerve to say " it was due to where I live ". Sony do need to get their repair act together cause they have cause a lot of hassle. This is a situation where I would try to get a new PS3 from them cause they have messed you about and wasted your time.

The same day i sent it in, i went and bought a 40GBmodel, only because i couldn't find anybody from the US selling 80GB MGS4 bundles to Australia.. which sucked hard.. Im getting a fully refurbished console sent back to me... i kept my HDD because i knew the pricks would just erase my data. It just sux that u pay $1000 for a console and u get stuffed around by twits in the service department...

That's what I did as well. But apparently if the PS3 that you receive back has a different serial number or MAC number or something, it ask you to format your HDD or something.
