I read from the Official Playstation Magazine, that it was cancelled because it didn't fit in Sony's focus of casual gaming with online functionality (e.g. LittleBigPlanet).

That's why The Getaway and 8 Days were cancelled. Sad really ... the PS3 needs every exclusive it can get in my honest opinion ...

Well i definitely wouldnt rule it out being real time, i mean it featureed an aim icon during the action and besides these are the same guys that bought us The Getaway on PS2, and that turned out exactly how it did in the early build.
