our portable buddy, cousin of the ps3, PSP!! - 10/10
Just to say, this machine is magnificant. it does everything possible, exept make you some lunch. The PSP was a great thing that SONY decided to invest into. now this was a great choice, and look what the psp has become now. a super hand held portable device. so forget iPod, and get a PSP!
This console in particular has been shown that it is not that "boring old pokemon game" , but has shown us the real meaning of "portable". With unreal graphics, that look so good, you will never want a DS.
Just take a look at some of the other PSP colours that AUS never got:
Chamagne Gold
Pink Silver and Blue (pink did make it to australia as a limited edition)
There is more colours out there like yellow and red.
now these days the only way you are gonna get your hands on those is to import them from japan, or on e-bay, if they have any.
Now, people have been asking, so where do the disks go in or what sort of cartrige is it that you put in?
Well both those can be answered. The type of disk that the psp uses is called UMD, which stands for UNIVERSAL MEDIA DISK. Back at the PSP launch, there werent just games available.
At launch and a while after there were two other types of UMD's that you could get. they were, UMD MOVIES:
and UMD MUSIC:
But sadly, these UMD's got taken off the shelf because of sales, they werent selling enough to keep making them.
But, the PSP games grew bigger, fast.
Things started to happen though, this UMD version of gta liberty city stories contained an exploit, which would enable users to "homebrew" their psp's. Sony had to do something about this, so rockstar quickly made another version, but the same game, without the exploit.
After that, the version of GTA lcs which was unpatched, was taken off the shelves immediately.
But after that, this year another game contained a new exploit, Luminies II. this game also was taken off the shelves and had the exploit taken out
As soon as the PS3 was launched, remote play was around, in the psp updates. what remote play does is enable the owner of a ps3 and psp to stream whats on the ps3 to the psp screen. not many features are around yet. you can only view the XMB and listen to music and watch movies.
now, sony has more plans for the psp, and have announced the slim psp (or psp2000)
The new psp is slimmer and thinner than the original, it is also glossy at the front and back 
which means more finger prints.
as you can see its slimmer and has t.v out put
dont you just want the chewbaka and his psp?
33% lighter, and slimmer than the original.

And there are many highly anticipated games for psp, like god of war, and gt portable (if that ever comes out

Here is my rating for the PSP
Size - 9/10 - fits into your 2 hands comfortably, nice and looks good
Packaging- 10/10 - great box, neat and the psp comes wrapped and out of harms way

Weight- 9/10 - its not that heavy, but wait untill you hold the slim psp, 33% lighter than the original
Apperance- 9/10- gloss on the front plastic on the back.
Nice and easy to put away. but its a fingerprint magnet.
Value- 10/10 - The psp now has a variety of packs you can purchase:

Graphics - 8/10 - Its very good for portable entertainment and the graphics of games are improving
Sound- 9/10 - excellent quality sound, with the headphones in or just using the speakers.
Overall- 10/10 - cant complain, its one of a kind, and its great value. so go and pick one up today

So the PSP is a great device to take anywhere around with you, but if your going solo on a flight, make sure the guy sitting next to you dosent see it
