PS3 News \ E3 2008 - Sony Disappointed about FFXIII On 360
Speaking to Kotaku.com, SCEA's Jack Tretton has admitted that he is disappointed that the once PS3 exclusive, Final Fantasy XIII, is also coming to XBOX 360. The announcement was made by Square Enix during Microsoft's E3 press conference.
Since FFVII appeared on the PS1 back in the late 90s, only the MMO spin-off FFXI for XBOX 360 has seen the FF saga leave its home on Playstation.
"Am I disappointed by it? Yes. Am I surprised? No," he said.
"It's going to be harder and harder to hold on to franchises," he added.
The game will remain as a PS3 exclusive in Japan, however, so clearly this is a move to increase the games availability in the broad NA and European markets, where the 360 has far more pulling power than it does in Japan.
