Ok if you buy a Ps3 (999) It comes with Ps3 console, 60 gig hardrive, One wireless control.

If you buy the console it already comes with one control so unless you play multiplayer games alot buy a second control, The console does not come with any games so you have to buy them i recommend resistance fall of man, Nba street 4 and motorstorm.

Well bluray movies display on 1080p and some games do to, No you do not need to buy HDMI cables to play on a HIDEF tv but if you do it will look a whole lot better, think it cost around $50

Yes the dvd remote is sold separitly for $49. But you do not need to buy this to watch movies you can just use the normal control.

It hasn't been confirmed what ps2 games will be backward compaitable but most probaly guitar her and buzz will be.

Yes normal dvds have to be pal to play on a pal ps3, For bluray there are some movies that are region free but most are not.

You dont need HDMI cables to play PS3 on your HD LCD..but it will look a whole lot better than using the standard component cables..infact i probably wouldnt buy a PS3 if i was gonna run it on component cables.

WTF! component cables are the same, the only difference is that picture and sound is from one cable instead of three.

Sorry i meant composite cables (the defaults from the box i believe). But still, component and HDMI are definatly not the same. The image quality between the two might not be that much different (HDMI being better though), but HDMI is a full digital signal while component still has to convert a digital signal to analog, then back to digital when hitting the tv, in the process image quality is reduced.
Its only minimal, but its there, and on a good TV it is noticable.

Where did you get that information? 1080p is just a resolution size, its the same as coding a game at any other resolution.
The only flaws with 1080p is that it will probably run games at a lower frame rate when compared to a 720p game.
