You need either an ethernet cable or a wireless router for your PC... I would recommend the router, a lot cleaner.

i got wireless router but only for internet.. so if i do it with cord.. wat program do i use on my comp??

Are ou wanting to connect your PS3 to the internet, or just share media from your PC to PS3?
If its to connect to the internet, you dont need a program on your PC, just run an ethernet cable from your modem to your PS3 and it will work, or if you want both PC and PS3 on the net you will either need a router or have 2 network cards in your PC.
I'd suggest buying a wireless router and using that for all your networking.
EDIT: forgot you said you had a wireless router..but for internet only? Is it your modem thats wireless? cos if its a router it shouldnt be for net only, you would be able to plug your PS3 into it.

This thread is getting confusing..2 people asking for different things lol.
So you andre..are wanting to share media from PC to PS3..for this you'll need a sharing program, i recommend TVersity. download it then you can create folders inside the program with all your media in it, and when you scan on your PS3 for media servers it should find it.
