well mate I had a 360 Premium and made the switch to PS3 for one reason and one reason only - I was very disappointed with Microsoft's skimping when it comes to build quality!! I had the red rings of death. I found that completely unacceptable especially when I actually didn't use the console for that much (1-2hrs each day max) and had it only for 6mths (bought Apr 07, died in Sep 07).
I didn't mind the system at all, I just didn't want to support such poor build quality and obvious attempt at increasing profits by a company that already makes more than enough, and should do its best to actually offer a top class product.
I now love the PS3 because with it I am getting some decent gaming titles, true 1080p capability should games eventually start using it, good ol' BluRay which I love and a free online connectivity.
I will support the company that offers me, as a consumer, a genuine attempt at producing a top quality product - in my experience this is definately not MS!!!!!
Oh, and also - PS3 has much easier file transfer capability (via a USB storage device of any kind) which I find useful if you play games that require patches and mods like for example ProEvo and such games. U actually don't have to spend extra money on adapters or any other extras for that matter. 360s not so $$$ friendly
