I'm going overseas in a few weeks and finally got myself a PS3 (also for the kids yeah right).
Question I have is are the overseas games fully compatible with my PS3?
EB Games told me this morning that they would not be...... 
I'm also stopping over in Thailand for 2 weeks so was hoping on buying some cheap games there before heading back to Holland.
I thought there was not region codes etc on the PS3??

PS3 is region free gaming concerning Blu Ray games. PS1 games are still region locked as well as PS2 (thats if you do get a 60gb otherwise 40gb should still be able to play PS1 games)

Funny you mention that as I also asked the store if any PS1 or PS2 games were compatible and was simply told no, none of the games are compatible with the new 40GB.......

heh well EB are a bunch of fools anyway. though most people do incorrectly say that the 40gb cant play PS1 games its just lies they can they just cant do PS2 games

Ummm thats good to know.......so thats all PS1 games that the PS3 will play without errors or fault then?

there will more than likely be errors but i havent tried PS1 on the PS3 yet cos i still have my PS1.
Also keep in mind that Blu Ray movies are not region free.
