Hi Guys

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40V2000 LCD Tv, now i have always been able to have HD tv through its inbuilt HD Tuner but for some reason i turned it on today and no digital channels were present at all! So i tried to do a scan and tune, picked up nothing!
anyone know what is going on and what i can do?
I have a 5 year warranty at JB hi fi , would i be able to use that for this?

i got the same tv as you it happened to me once or twice.. had to fix the aerial and then did a rescan..
even if the analog was working it still didnt pick up the digital channels.. are your analog channels perfectly clear?

Ensure that everything is plugged in first, i know it sounds silly and most people will say yeah everything is in but just make sure.

now what i would also suggest is to get your tv manual out, and treat your tv as if you just purchased it, read through the manual step by step and follow the instructions on how to setup all your digital stuff.

Hope that helps.. I know thats just basic stuff but many people dont take the proper steps

Sure, if it is a TV problem. Best to confirm its not an aerial problem. Do you have another digital TV/tuner you could try with the same aerial cable at the same wall point?

Call them up and ask them to fix it. Your warranty should be able to cover it.

I have a Bravia KDL-40X3100 and it scanned through the digital channels perfectly. Are you sure it's all connected properly?

Yeh its best to double check that the signal from your arial is fine.

but if its the TV then your warranty should cover that.

See the thing is it has been working flawlessly since i got it mid last year, then i turn it on the other morning and all of a sudden it doesnt work

With this JB HI Fi 5 year warranty when the guy sold it to me he said if anything goes wrong with it for 5 years you bring it in and we replace it straight away and if that model of tv is not available we give you the latest one? Is it that easy? Anyone had experiences with them

did you plugg the SD tuner into the same wall socet? As it may just be the coax runing from the Arial to the TV.

Its not looking great is it mate, but just gotta stick with them through thick and thin, new beginning for us , it wont happen over night but it will happen! Are u a member?

ring up the people at Jb and ask them how you go about geting it fixed.
