These three 60GB PS3 auctions ended on ebay in the middle of the night. They take the cake for the dodgiest auctions on ebay I've ever seen.

This person has zero feedback.
They claim to live in reservoir in Victoria, but want payment in US dollars.
The auctions ended about 5am in the morning, meaning they probably set up the auction at that time.
Three auctions all with the same exact picture.
I asked whether pickup was available. They answered this in the middle of the night with the message:
hello friend,we prefer the Fedex and the EMS.and you will received them within 3-5days. so you can stay in your home and get them.
I don't even know what EMS is?
My guess this auction is being performed by a teenager in the US, because if this is a scam, it's a really really poor scam. On the flip side, if they turn out to be genuine, they have scored a great bargain.

O_o yeah it looks dodgy. says new in box but they hardly look new, they wont accept checks but will refund you with one... and will allow up to 30 days for you to pay xD i think some1 just wants some quick cash

yeah ive had stuff like that happen to me as well once i got a memory stick for my PSP and we took it back because it was fake and he never gave are money back till we gave him good feedback

That's one thing I hate about ebay.
I reckon they should make it so that, neither party sees what feedback they get ... until both have left feedback for each other.
In many cases, the seller holds more power ...
e.g. seller waits for buyer to leave feedback, and then he leaves the buyer one ...

Its a cruel cruel world wutang01 but sometimes we just have to live with it
That's definitely one eBay seller I would stay away from.
It's way too suss. But it looks like some people have fallen for it.

Well check as opposed to cheque is a pretty good giveaway too...plus if you look at the power cable...don't look aussie to me! maybe they'd sell it to you with a power adapter lol

Well I bid, but didn't win... However there was no way I was going to pay up unless I could get absolute security. eg. pickup...
What gets me with this, is that it is done so badly. I'm a fraud analyst and I don't think I've seen anything so inept as this. The idiot who set up the auction, obviously has no clue, and you'd almost be guaranteed they would be easy to track down.

Really it wouldn't be too hard to make it look legitimate. I would just think about what I would like to see in order to reassure me of the seller and the item. Easy (I could so do that

Anyway, as for the topic of this thread, people have to be careful with any eBay auction. Everyone knows that of course.
But if you do buy something try to use Paypal. At least you're covered a little.

EMS is an express international "courier" service provided various postal services around the world. Australia Post is part of it, Japan Post, USPS, Hong Kong. Just as fast as UPS, Fed ex, but half the price

why not use DHL ? i saw the commercial again, about that kid that gets the paper for something
but back to the point, i think that they should make a limit on the ebay website, if you join up you need a minimum feedback response to be able to auction certain things
