Looks & sounds like a scam. The seller cant spell, & is using FedEx but says item location is ACT ? They use free email accounts like hotmail & their phone number aint from Australia.

Dante if a deal seems too good to be true then it proberly is.
I personally wouldnt import a console, games yes but the console no, any console imported isnt covered by warranty in Australia & SONY in the country you buy it from wont accept it back under warranty either unless you fly over with the console & then send it to them within that country.
Id buy a PS3 here in Oz.

Im the first person to jump on a good deal if its real but 99% of these deals are scams, why take a chance of losing $250-400, if you cant afford the PS3 yet then put what you have away & keep saving. You will be thankful for the warranty if something ever goes wrong with it, even if SONY suck & are slow at getting your console back to you
Try ebay, ive seen 40gb model go for a little over $500, the 60gb models are way overpriced, some sellers are trying to get more than what they initially paid for them because of the BC.
Also Dante , that Amazon deal was August last year. Proberly not available anymore.

Yeah BC = Backwards Compatibility , at the price some people are wanting for the 60gb model your better off keep your PS2 if you got one & buying the 40gb. I dont blame you thou, thats why i got the 60gb before they run out as I didnt want heaps of different consoles in my lounge.

course its a scam.
firstly, if they are reselling ps3's.. theres is no way they could make a profit. Why? because no ps3's would be sold for under $250 to begin with.
the site is an australian site, the mobile is from England.
if you look on the Gizmodo site, the people who have apparently purchased the ps3's are just the same people who have posted up the package deal. they make new accounts, say they bought em and everything was good so that other people fall for it.
and lastly.. use your head. the deal is more than too good to be true. 2nd hand 60 gb went for $1000 i believe. brand new went for $1000+.. how is a 60 gb brand new ps3 going to be sold for $250..
